Dr. Liu received his dental and orthodontic education from University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2005. Unlike most orthodontist who never practice dentistry, Dr. Liu practiced pediatric dentistry for 6 years before choosing to specialize in orthodontics. With his experience in dentistry, treatment planning complex orthodontic cases are performed in a comprehensive manner by understanding the needs of both the dentist and orthodontist. 

 

Dr. Liu is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Becoming a Diplomate is the highest accomplishment that an orthodontist can achieve. As a board certified orthodontist Dr. Liu has voluntarily gone through hundreds of additional hours of preparation to demonstrate his commitment to patient excellence.

In order to give back to undeserved areas Dr. Liu has volunteered on numerous missions with Rotaplast International, a humanitarian organization whose primary goal is to treat craniofacial anomalies particularly in treating cleft lip and palate patients, being some of the most difficult cases to treat. This experience has provided him with the unique opportunity to provide underserved children and adults with a chance to live a normal life and have a beautiful smile. He is also a craniofacial genetic fellow and received his master's on cleft lip and palate.

Dr. Liu currently lives in Arcadia with his wife, daughter, and son. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. His hobbies include anything technical such as working on cars, rebuilding engines, SCCA racing, electronic circuitry, woodwork, metal work fabrication, and computers. Engineering has always fascinated him so orthodontics was a perfect match.
